Knights — Professional Hockey in the Heartland
The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights
brought professional hockey back to Omaha in 2005 as members
of the American Hockey League. As the primary development
team for the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames,
the action is fast, exciting and family friendly. The Ak-Sar-Ben
Knights play 40 regular season home games at the Civic Auditorium
each season.
Professional hockey has a
long tradition in Omaha. The original Omaha Knights began
play in 1936 and over the years produced Hockey Hall of
Famers Gordie Howe, Terry Sawchuk and Scotty Bowman. Today,
the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights’ players are pursuing their
own NHL dreams.
Season tickets and 22-Game
Mini Plans are available, providing fans a variety of ticket
packages to fit their budget. In addition, the Ak-Sar-Ben
Knights sell merchandise from their offices within the Omaha
Civic Auditorium. The game schedule for each new season
